Hey Queen!

I’m Kim, head coach at The Strength Movement

My story and why I’m here;

In 2017, my year 12, I took a ruin to my body trying to “maintain my weight”. After years of being all in or out with restriction and excessive exercise I fell into the hardest time of my life with my body. There was no ounce of peace in my day with myself. After speaking to a girl with a similar backstory at Mt Buller gym she opened my eyes to what eating more and giving myself some grace could actually do for my body composition. At that point I hated starving myself, I hated running the same block everyday to and from school with my heavy bag, and I hated all the comments around me saying I should be eating more. The next day I distinctively remember looking in the lulu lemon change rooms at my back and suddenly being horrified at how stick thin I had become. It was almost as though the body dysmorphia and normality I had created around the way I was looking washed away, and I downed a heap of those health “bounce balls” that I had in my bag. From that point forward I didn’t look back. I hired my first fitness coach through instagram and was set on following the protocols and guidance that she gave me. I could never thank her enough for the experience I had with her for 2 years following, because she not only brought me gains and helped me understand nutrition, but she gave me confidence in myself, helped me feel empowered, strong and mentally free from restriction and excessive measures.

Since then I have completed my certs in fitness to take personal training and following completed a bachelors degree in exercise and sports science. These foundations have enabled me to help other people through personal training but also gain the insight and education needed to start my own female fitness coaching business.

Personally I have competed in 4 powerlifting comps alongside training for strength and athletic outcomes since that day. In 2021 I started my business in female fitness coaching, with the intention of guiding and changing mindsets of girls everywhere, helping them understand what training and nutrition for their goals looks like with a healthy and sustainable approach. Helping girls realise what works for someone else may not work for them, and removing all the confusion of social media for a brighter peaceful relationship with themselves and their bodies.

My mission now is to help as many women as possible find peace with themselves while reaching their goals. I am so fulfilled building an empire of strong thriving women! The movement is expanding and it’s amazing….

After years of working to heal my relationship with food, overcoming fears of weight gain, and learning how to build strength without second-guessing every step, I finally broke through.

This journey was made possible by my studies in sports science, nutrition, and the psychology of disordered eating—combined with 7 years of personal experience and the guidance of my own coaches. Along the way, powerlifting and intuitive eating became powerful tools that transformed my self-trust and confidence.

Now, after helping countless women unlock their strength, I’m here to help you do the same.
